Something that has become somewhat of a tradition with our family is traveling up to Page, AZ to visit my wife’s family for the 4th of July. Here are a few pictures from our trip, and a list of places you MUST visit if you ever find yourself in Page.
- The Cameron Trading Post: A fun little stop to buy fun little things…. also has really good Navajo tacos!
- Almost there!!!
- RD’s Drive-in: a must stop for EVERY visit to Page, AZ. My favorite is the Green Chili Cheese Burger
- 4th of July Parade: Small town parades are really fun. Page is no different.
- Ezra enjoying the parade
- got a picture with Abe while wearing my Abe fighting bears shirt.
- Getting ready to take a tour through the Glen Canyon via the Colorado River Discovery tours, with Robert Batorski (my brother-in-law) as our guide.
- The Glen Canyon Dam
- you should Google “Horse Shoe Bend” to see what the view from the top is
- “2 Mile Stretch”: The far canyon wall is 2 miles away from where I took the picture.
- The trip down through the Glen Canyon is an easy 3-4 hour ride with no rapids.
- Mrs Steamgray and I on the bus ride back into town after the river tour
- Beginning of the Grand Canyon from Navajo Bridge taken while on the bus ride back to Page from Lee’s Ferry (end of the Glen Canyon)
- This was taken while on the bus back to Page. Totally reminds me of Radiator Springs from the movie Cars.
